The Image Rights & Reproductions Department at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center provides images for educational presentations, professional research, print and electronic publications, media projects, and personal use. All requests for images MUST be made in writing using a request form (select Ordering Information above). Permission for such use is granted at the sole discretion of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.

Research visits from the general public to use manuscripts, photographs, or rare books must be arranged in advance.
Appointments to conduct research may be made by contacting the Library Director or calling 307.578.4063.
The McCracken Research Library is located on the lower level of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. When you enter the building, please check in at the Security Station to confirm your appointment.
Hours for research appointments are year-round except holidays:
